Cut Out

Last week, I was feeling left out a lot… It was a few days of watching events I was oblivious to, going on effortlessly around me.   It made me realise how much I had missed being alone and how good it is for me.

Sometimes, being on your own or being “left out” is good for you, even if it is just for a little while. Even though it was a surprisingly painful experience, I enjoyed it – it reminded me of a poem I wrote when I was about 15years.

Reading it now, I think i was really bent on making everything rhyme 😂. Tacky or not, it has the general idea… I think i’ll do a remix soon 🤔...so here’s ‘Cut Out’…

It was not just about being one part

because now, i’ve become a distinctive art.

A sector of the whole… a square peg in a round hole

i don’t fit in like i used to

not because i change, but because THEY refuse to

am i to blame for my dismiss?

i want to be free! didn’t know you’d easily replace me

so now i’m where i was meant to be

since your indulgence will not cease,

let your judgement be released

whether or not I am wrong,

it seems i have to be cut out

to set things right…
